Gouache Painting Course

Our one day Gouache course provides a wonderful 'taster' of this exciting medium.

Many well known artists from J M W Turner through to Patrick Heron, Howard Hodgkin, Roger Hilton and, more recently, Anish Kapoor have used gouache as a painting medium.

Maggie O'Brien is the most generous and encouraging of artist teachers; sharing the tricks of her trade and helping students to brave trying methods and techniques which are new to them.

Level:

All skill levels, from beginners to those with more experience. If you have any specific access or support requirements please give us a call at the time of booking to discuss your needs.

Age:

We would advise that this course is suitable for those of 16 years of age and upwards. We put these guidelines in place for the safety, comfort and enjoyment of all our students.

What to bring:

A3 Sketchbook, a range of pencils; all paints and other materials are provided by the school. Please bring waterproofs incase of bad weather. Sturdy shoes such as trainers or walking boots.

Lunch:

Please bring a packed lunch.
