CORNISH LANDSCAPE PAINTING COURSE
This exhilarating three day painting course focuses on visual, emotional and physical responses to nature with the aim of engaging with and capturing the essence of the rugged Cornish landscape. Time will be spent out in the dramatic landscape of West Penwith with teaching encouraging students to work with spontaneity and freedom. Students will then develop their work further back at the School studio, with more considered approaches to resolving works. Students will be actively encouraged to use natural materials collected from the landscape including soils and simple tools in their painting process. This course encourages an experimental approach landscape painting which will enable students to see the process of painting in a broader more intuative way. An inspiring course which takes in some wonderful walking along the Cornish coastline and moors. This course involves some walking of coastal paths so a basic level of fitness is required.
