Sam Bassett
Artist Sam Bassett teaches our one day Experimental Drawing course and is one of the tutors on our Life Drawing Evening Sessions on Wednesdays 7pm till 9pm.
Sam Bassett has taught illustration at B.A. level at Bournemouth Arts Institute where he ran sessions preparing graduates for a career in industry. Sam has been involved with projects at Newlyn Gallery including Possessed Possessions which featured objects manipulated and transformed collaboratively by a group of artists including Jesse Leroy Smith, Richard Ballinger, Chris Priest and Delpha Hudson. Sam was recently elected as a member of the Newlyn Society of Artists and has exhibited at a number of well known galleries in Cornwall and has been a part of a number of exhibitions in London and the home counties. His paintings and illustrations have been used in many public contexts including music album covers and the public art project Jack’s Cows which took place in Falmouth, Truro and at the Eden Project.
