COLOUR AND ABSTRACTION
This intensive two day course explores mark making, colour and composition. The teaching will include looking at the work of the great 20th century masters and leading contemporary abstract painters to analyse their techniques and strategies. The expressive and emotional qualities of colour will be analysed as well as its formal, spatial qualities. The course will focus on the individual student’s creativity enabling them to gain the tools and abilities to discover and implement their own personal language.
All drawing materials, supports and paint will be supplied by the art school and are included in the price of the course.
Gareth Edwards RWA also teaches our Abstract Landscape course, our One Week Landscape course and is a tutor on our One Year Mentoring Course.
