The expressive and emotional qualities of colour will be analysed as well as its formal, spatial qualities. The course will focus on the individual student’s creativity enabling them to gain the tools and abilities to discover and implement their own personal language.

The course started with a dynamic discussion, introducing us to the beautiful breadth and complexity of abstract art....which totally changed my outlook on abstraction.

The course opened my mind to a new way of creating using colour, form, function and feeling. Re-thinking the way we apply paint to surfaces enabled me to remove constrictive barriers and introduce a more direct means to communicate and express myself.

Gareth was always encouraging and inspiring, as well as being quick at seeing ones potential he also helped introduce contextual thinking and development.
