DRAWING TOWARDS PAINTING
This two day course uses an exciting range of experimental drawing techniques and exercises to broaden our approach to generating imagery. The course will help students learn how to develop their own process and language through focusing on how artists edit their source material to build towards more complete works in paint.
Time will be spent out in Newlyn and in the immediate environment of the art school gathering information through drawing with a range of materials. The group will then explore a variety of techniques and strategies for pulling out of their drawings information which can create the foundations of more complete paintings.
All drawing materials, supports and paint will be supplied by the art school.
