PAINTING LAND AND SEA
The three day Painting Land and Sea course gives students a wonderful introduction to mixed media painting. The course will take place in the dramatic coastal sites for which west Cornwall is famous. Amanda Hoskin has spent much of her career painting different parts of Cornwall and on her new course she will take students out sharing her wealth of experience in capturing the essence of Cornwall's wild coastline.
The course will take students from making studies on the hoof whilst exploring the coast paths between Newlyn and Land's End right through to making more complete paintings under the guidance of experienced landscape painter Amanda Hoskin. She will demonstrate techniques and encourage students to try their hand at using a number of different materials and artists' papers and supports.
A great opportunity to get out walking the Cornish coast paths with an experienced artist encouraging you all the way to play on day one with a range of different waterbased media and then half way through the course Amanda will help students to use what they have learnt to then make studies in oil. As with so many of our courses the Painting Land and Sea course is open to all levels of experience from near beginners through to practicing artists.
