OUTDOORS WITH ACRYLICS
This inspiring three day course offers students who wish to get to understand acrylic paint a masterclass in making the most of the medium. Andrew Tozer has become one of Cornwall’s most renowned artists in recent years and he is a passionate advocate of acrylic paint using the medium for his en plein air and studio work.
Andrew manages to get the most remarkable fluidity and energy into his acrylic paintings so that although the process of using acrylics is very different from working with oils; his landscapes and interiors have all of the vitality and life of oil paintings.
This course will include lots of hands-on painting time as well as a number of short demonstrations. The course will include working outdoors in Newlyn harbour and other spots around the nearby coastline. There will be some time spent working in the painting studios at the Victorian School Building and the balance of indoor and outdoor sessions will be dependent on the weather.
All drawing materials, supports and paint will be supplied by the art school.
