EXPERIMENTAL PAINTING

This intriguing three-day course, taught by Dan Pyne, allows artists of all levels to experiment with an unusual range of materials and techniques that they may not have previously considered, and which may transform their painting practice.

This course looks closely at both surface texture and materials, which are as emotional and powerful as colour can be in a painting. An inventive use of materials can help artists achieve a unique voice and create works that have a profound resonance with the viewer. Through a mixture of one-to-one tuition and demonstrations, tutor Dan Pyne helps students to push the boundaries of what they think is possible in their work, and increase the armoury of techniques used in their future painting practice.
